Freestanding column jib
Independent local lifting where wall or building support is unavailable.
Lifting at the point of work
Compact slewing cranes for machines, workstations and production cells where a full bay crane is unnecessary.
Designed around the application
Capacity, span, headroom, duty, structure, controls and maintenance access are considered together.
Choosing the right crane
Jib cranes put lifting directly beside the task. A column-mounted or wall-mounted arm can cover a machine, bench or loading point without tying up the main overhead crane.
We select the outreach, rotation, mounting arrangement and hoist around the load and operator. The supporting floor, column or building steel is checked before the final design is released.
The design brief
A useful quotation starts with the operating requirement, not just a headline safe working load.
Safe working load and outreach
Required rotation and working arc
Floor slab or building support
Hook height and low-headroom needs
Manual or powered slewing
Chain or wire-rope hoist selection
Configuration options
Independent local lifting where wall or building support is unavailable.
Keeps the floor clear when suitable structural support is available.
Controlled movement for longer outreach, heavier loads or frequent handling.

Questions, answered
Freestanding jibs normally need a verified foundation or suitable existing slab. We provide the design reactions needed for the structural assessment.
Some freestanding arrangements can. Wall-mounted and restricted-area jibs use a smaller working arc suited to the site.
Yes. We maintain, repair and thoroughly examine jib cranes from all major manufacturers.
Single Girder Overhead Cranes
A practical, economical overhead crane layout for workshops, production bays and routine material handling.
Double Girder Overhead Cranes
Higher-capacity crane systems for demanding duty cycles, long spans and applications where hook approach matters.
Gantry and Portal Cranes
Freestanding gantry and portal cranes for buildings or yards where roof-supported runways are unsuitable.
